Stop sending the same CV into the void.

Unemploid opens beside the job post you're reading, works out what the role is really asking for, and rewrites your CV to answer it. You approve every line before anything changes. Then you apply, and get on with the next one.

You already know how this goes.

A role comes up that looks right. You open the CV you've already sent thirty times, change a job title, tell yourself it's close enough, and hit apply.

Then nothing. No reply, no reason, no way of knowing whether a person ever read it or whether you were filtered out over a phrase you'd never have thought to use.

Unemploid doesn't write your CV for you. It shows you what this particular employer is asking for, and helps you say it in your own words, in about the time it takes to read the posting.

The usual way

  • One generic CV, forty applications
  • Guessing which skills to lead with
  • Half an hour for each tailored version
  • Interview answers rehearsed in your head

With Unemploid

  • A version built for the role in front of you
  • The wording the posting keeps coming back to
  • A minute or two, without leaving the tab
  • Answers you've said out loud at least once

Open a job. Watch a flat line become a reason to call you.

The panel reads the posting sitting next to it, finds where your CV goes quiet, and drafts a sharper version of the line. Nothing is saved until you accept it.

Numbers, not adjectives

Suggestions start from what you already wrote and reframe it around the outcome the employer is hiring for. Anything not supported by your CV is flagged for you to confirm rather than invented.

What the score means

How much of what this posting asks for actually appears in your CV. It moves as you accept suggestions, so you can tell when it's good enough and stop.

Saved to your profile once you accept

Bring the CV you already have. Then say the answers out loud.

Getting started shouldn't mean retyping your working life into another form. And the first time you say "tell me about a time you…" shouldn't be in the actual interview.

Ready to edit

Yes

Scans with no selectable text are read visually, so a CV you last exported in 2019 comes back as editable fields rather than a flat image you have to retype.

Rehearse before it counts

Answer aloud, get it back sharpened

Practice question

"Tell me about a time you improved system performance."

Ready 00:00

The same answer, tightened

Press Play the example to watch a rambling answer come back as something you'd be happy to say on the day.

You get notes on structure, on the specifics you left out, and on the part you rushed. The microphone runs while you're recording and stops when you do. Nothing from a session is kept.

One extension, the whole search.

Everything below is in the free tier. The paid plan lifts the daily limit, it doesn't unlock features.

Rewrites tied to the role

Lines that say "helped with" come back saying what changed and by how much, aimed at the job open beside you.

A match score you can move

Zero to a hundred, climbing as you accept changes. Mostly useful for knowing when to stop fiddling and press apply.

The words that get screened

The skills and phrases a posting leans on, and which of them your CV never mentions. Filtering software looks for exactly these.

Import from anything

PDFs, images, and scans with no selectable text. Those are read visually and rebuilt into fields you can edit.

Interview practice out loud

Questions pitched at your level, feedback on what you actually said, and nothing kept once you close the session.

An editor that fits the page

Modern, Classic and Compact layouts, with type and spacing you can nudge until the whole thing lands on one page.

Export a clean PDF

Plain structure that filtering software can read, and no surprise reflow when someone opens it on another machine.

Every version, kept

Each tailored CV is saved and named, so applying somewhere similar starts from the good version rather than the generic one.

Works in your language

The interface comes in ten languages, and your CV is written in whatever language the posting itself is in.

Five minutes to your first tailored application.

Install it, sign in, bring your CV across. You'll be tailoring on the first job you open after that.

  1. 1

    Add it to Chrome

Install from the Chrome Web Store and pin it. It lives in the side panel, so there's no extra tab and no second window to manage.

  2. 2

    Make an account

An email and a password, that's it. Your CVs follow you to any machine you sign in on, so nothing lives only on one laptop.

  3. 3

    Bring your CV over

Drop in the PDF you've been sending, even if it's a scan. Or start from one of the templates if you'd rather begin clean.

  4. 4

    Open a job you want

Anywhere: LinkedIn, a job board, a careers page. Press Optimize and work through the suggestions one at a time.

  5. 5

    Export, then practise

Download the PDF and apply. If a call gets booked, run a practice round against that same role before you take it.

  6. And the next one is faster.

Every version you accept is kept. The second application to a similar role starts from work you've already done.

Your CV is not our product.

Looking for work means handing your work history, your gaps and your weak spots to anyone who asks. We'd rather be specific about what happens to yours.

  • Only the posting you opened

Not your other tabs, not your browsing history, not any page you didn't ask about.

  • The mic runs when you press record

Never before, never after. Practice recordings are used to give you feedback in the moment and are never stored.

  • Take it all with you, whenever

Export every CV, or delete your account and its contents, from inside the extension. No support ticket required.

  • Not sold, not brokered, not advertised against

Subscriptions are how this makes money. The full detail sits in the Privacy Policy.

In plain terms

What we handle

  • The job post you asked about
  • The CV text being tailored
  • Practice audio, while you record

What we never touch

  • Your other tabs or history
  • The mic outside a practice session
  • Anything, for anyone buying data

You approve each change before it reaches your CV. Nothing gets rewritten quietly in the background, and no version replaces another unless you say so.

Wherever you are in this.

Changing field

Your experience counts, it just doesn't sound like it does on paper yet. Unemploid finds the parts that carry over and puts them in the language the new industry actually uses.

First job

Coursework, a side project and a summer of retail is more than it feels like at the time. Getting it written down properly is most of the battle. Rehearsing once helps with the rest.

Quietly looking

You're employed and half-watching. Something good turns up at eleven at night. Tailor a version and send it without opening a document or losing the evening to it.

Questions people actually ask.

Will it write my CV for me?
No, and that's deliberate. It proposes a rewrite of a line you wrote, based on what the posting asks for, and you accept or reject each one. If a suggestion would imply something your CV doesn't support, it's flagged for you to confirm rather than quietly asserted. What goes out is still yours, and you should be able to defend every line of it in the room.
Is the free tier really free?
Yes. Ten AI actions a day, no card, and no features held back behind a countdown. You get the full editor, all three layouts, PDF import and export, interview practice and saved versions. Pro removes the daily cap and adds deeper full-CV passes.
Which job sites does it work on?
LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster and ZipRecruiter work out of the box, and most company careers pages parse fine too. It reads the one posting you have open, and only when you ask it to.
Can I import the PDF I've been sending?
Yes, including scans and photos with no selectable text. Those are read visually and rebuilt into editable fields so you don't retype anything. Give the dates and job titles a glance afterwards, since old scans are the one case where a character occasionally lands wrong.
Does interview practice record me in the background?
Never. The microphone only opens when you start a session, after your browser has asked your permission, and it closes when you stop. Practice audio and video are used to give you feedback in that moment and are not stored afterwards.
Will an employer be able to tell I used it?
There's no watermark or hidden marker in what you export. What matters more is that suggestions stay close to your own wording and your own record, rather than producing the polished, slightly hollow paragraph that recruiters have learned to spot.
How do I cancel, or delete everything?
Cancel from your profile in the extension, no email needed, and you keep your CVs on the free tier. To remove the account and everything in it, write to [email protected]. The Privacy Policy sets out what's kept and for how long.

The next one doesn't have to be another shot in the dark.
